

ROYAL MAIL NEED TO RESTORE THEIR REPUTATION
With further Royal Mail delivery disruption looking inevitable - a national strike being a strong possibility just ahead of the Christmas period - clients have been given another reason to start investing their budget in online marketing.
Royal Mail management have been trying to reduce the severity by hiring contract staff and even stepping in and delivering items themselves. However for business that replies on the postal system either for delivery of their core products, or those that reply on direct mail or door drops for customer acquisition campaigns, it's simply not good enough.
Those business will start to look at couriers for deliveries, but for customer acquisition material it's another reason to look at alternative channels such as email, Google AdWord campaigns, affiliate programs and banner campaigns to increase their reach and frequency of contact with potential customers.
We all love the traditional image of the friendly postie but this has to be addressed comprehensively and swiftly otherwise organisations will abandon Royal Mail - less post means fewer jobs...
